The Changeling is a Jacobean 'tragedy of blood'. Written as the flowering of English culture began to decay, it coolly chronicles the moral changes the central characters undergo as the consequences of their passions - and of the deeds those passions lead them to - are exposed.
Within the context of the plot, characters perform songs made famous by Alice Cooper:
